When I am doing events for local Real Estate Professionals I always recommend spending more of your time on building your personal brand in your city and with local businesses. Do this both online and offline. Imagine if you went to your local businesses and offered to make them a quick flip cam video featuring their business. You can buy the Kodak Zi8 (best flip cam) and a lapel mic for a total of about $115-$150 that will record great audio and HD video. Upload it to youtube and post it on your wordpress blog using short code like this [youtube:video-url.com] and it will show as a video as long as you set up the plugin to do this. Now you have a business owner that is happy you made a video for him for free and he will tell everything to go to your blog and check it out! You can also select unlisted on youtube so it doesnt show anywhere else but your blog. With the kodak zi8 it is ready to just drag and drop onto your computer and upload direct to youtube. But if you want to add titles and effects, then you must use an editing program like windows movie maker (free) or imovie (mac). If you dont want to do all that, you can just go to craigslist and post in a section called "gigs" for free. Just create a gig in the creative section and you will probably find someone that will do it for between $20-$50 or less. I did a post asking for someone to do a photo shoot for a local restaurant and I got over 80 emails saying they will do it from $20-$100. Alot of these people are either part time photographers and videographer trying to grow their business and portfolio, or they are full timers with extra time and want to make extra cash. If you dont have a wordpress blog yet. Their are many free blog themes to choose from. Its just like using a word doc when writing blog posts. Also just do a quick search on youtube and you will find thousands of videos and tutorials on using wordpress and even installing it.
